I have wept in the night for the shortness of sight that to somebody's need made me blind

But I never have yet Felt a tinge of regret for being a little to kind
The measure of a man's real character is what he would do if he knew he would never be found out.

Thomas B. Macaulay (1800-1859) English politician, essayist and poet.
The three hardest tasks in the world are neither physical feats nor intellectual achievements, but moral acts: to return love for hate, to include the excluded, and to say, "I was wrong".

Sydney J. Harris

Jesus said, “No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other.” (Matthew 6:24 NIV) Attempting to serve two masters leads to “double-mindedness” (James 4:8), undermining loyalty to a cause. . James 5:2

Mortal sin, according to the beliefs of Roman Catholicism, and some Protestant denominations, is a sin that, unless confessed and absolved (or at least sacramental confession is willed if not available), condemns a person's soul to Hell after death. These sins are considered "mortal" because they constitute a rupture in a person's link to God's saving grace: the person's soul becomes "dead", not merely weakened.

vipaka

Vipāka is the fruition of Kamma

According to the seed that’s sown,
So is the fruit you reap therefrom,
Doer of good will gather good,
Doer of evil, evil reaps,
Down is the seed and thou shalt taste the fruit thereof.

triangular theory of love

The triangular theory of love is a theory of love developed by psychologist Robert Sternberg. The theory characterizes love within the context of interpersonal relationships by three different components:

  1. Intimacy – Which encompasses feelings of closeness, connectedness, and bondedness.
  2. Passion – Which encompasses drives that lead to romance, physical attraction, and sexual consummation.
  3. Commitment – Which encompasses, in the short term, the decision to remain with another, and in the long term, the shared achievements and plans made with that other.

The “amount” of love one experiences depends on the absolute strength of these three components; the “type” of love one experiences depends on their strengths relative to each other. Different stages and types of love can be explained as different combinations of these three elements; for example, the relative emphasis of each component changes over time as an adult romantic relationship develops. A relationship based on a single element is less likely to survive than one based on two or three elements.

the crown jewel of life...........death

The Kübler-Ross model first introduced by Elisabeth Kübler-Ross in her book "On Death and Dying", describes, in five discrete stages, a process by which people allegedly deal with grief and tragedy, especially when diagnosed with a terminal illness. The stages are known as the Five Stages of Grief.

Stages

The stages are:

  1. Denial
  2. Anger
  3. Bargaining
  4. Depression
  5. Acceptance

Let me not pray

Let me not pray to be sheltered from
dangers but to be fearless in facing
them.

Let me not pray for the stilling of
my pain but for the heart to conquer it.

Let me not look for allies in life’s
battlefields but to my own strength.

Let me not crave in anxious fear to
be saved but hope for the patience to
win my freedom.

Grant me that I may not be a
coward, feeling your mercy in my
success alone; but let me find the grasp
of your hand in my failure.

srimad bhagwad gita

Anger is a corrosive and self-annihilating phenomenon. In this world of broken promises and empty lies, anger, lying dormant within us finds ample opportunity to uncoil and lash harshly at the day-to-day life. Anger must be mastered in order to realize the best that exists in all of us.

live....................

Lightning crashes, a new mother cries
Her placenta falls to the floor
The angel opens her eyes
The confusion sets in
Before the doctor can even close the door

Lightning crashes, an old mother dies
Her intentions fall to the floor
The angel closes her eyes
The confusion that was hers
Belongs now, to the baby down the hall

Oh now feel it comin back again
Like a rollin thunder chasing the wind
Forces pullin from the center of the earth again
I can feel it.

Lightning crashes, a new mother cries
This moment shes been waiting for
The angel opens her eyes
Pale blue colored iris, presents the circle
And puts the glory out to hide, hide

elvis has left the building........................

Just after 2pm Tuesday, August 16, 1977 Ginger Alden found Elvis, face down, unconscious, on the floor in the bathroom at Graceland. Clad only in blue top and yellow pajama bottoms. Elvis was crouched over. His face dark and bloated. By 3.30pm Elvis had been pronounced dead after frantic ambulance ride to Baptist Memorial Hospital where an unprecedented number of specialists battled to save his life. The official verdict was death by heart failure. The hospital called Vernon Presley to tell him that his son was dead. Joe Esposito was going to announce the death, but was to overcome with grief. Half an hour later, on the steps of Graceland a grief stricken Vernon announced to the world: "My son, Elvis is dead..."

Within minutes the press headlines announced: The Memphis Press Scimitar announced:

  • LONELY LIFE ENDS ON ELVIS PRESLEY BOULEVARD

  • The French headlines read: L'ADIEU A ELVIS!

  • The British frontpage said: KING ELVIS DEAD AT 42 AND ALONE.

  • The Soviet newspaper PRAVDA ran a full-page ELVIS IS DEAD. THE USA HAS GIVEN US THREE CULTURAL PHENOMENON: MICKEY MOUSE, COKE A COLA AND ELVIS PRESLEY

  • The Australian Herald - ONE HOUR BATTLE FAILS. KING ELVIS DIES

  • Richard Nixon asked Americans fly their flags at half-mast. In Tupelo Elvis' birthplace the mayor declared, August 16 an official day of mourning. RCA sold 400 million Elvis Presley records to distraught fans

the last snap of elvis, hours before the calling.........

Wise men say only fools rush in
But I cant help falling in love with you
Shall I stay
Would it be a sin
If I cant help falling in love with you

Like a river flows surely to the sea
Darling so it goes
Some things are meant to be
Take my hand, take my whole life too
For I cant help falling in love with you

Like a river flows surely to the sea
Darling so it goes
Some things are meant to be
Take my hand, take my whole life too
For I cant help falling in love with you
For I cant help falling in love with you

rastafarian thoughts of bob marley...........

Don't Let them fool ya or even try to school ya .........

Don't worry about a thing, every little thing is gonna be alright ..........

Free speech carries with it some freedom to listen ....

I don't stand for the black man's side, I don' t stand for the white man's side. I stand for God's side ....

I handle fame by not being famous...I'm not famous to me..........

I have got a running stream of love you see. So no matter what stages.. they put us through, we'll never be blue ...........

If you are the big, big tree, we are the small axe, ready to cut you down! ..............

If you get down and quarell everyday, you're saying prayers to the devil, I say ................

Life is one big road with lots of signs. So when you riding through the ruts, don't complicate your mind. Flee from hate, mischief and jealousy. Don't bury your thoughts, put your vision to reality . Wake Up and Live! ............

My future is righteousness .....................

One good thing about music, when it hits- you feel no pain .............

Overcome the devils with a thing named love...........

Politics no interest me. Dem devil business.... Dem a play with peoples minds. Never play with peoples minds ................

Your worst enemy could be your best friend, and your best friend your worst enemy ..............

Bob Marley was a hero figure, in the classic mythological sense. His departure from this planet came at a point when his vision of One World, One Love -- inspired by his belief in Rastafari -- was beginning to be heard and felt. The last Bob Marley and the Wailers tour in 1980 attracted the largest audiences at that time for any musical act in Europe.

Bob's story is that of an archetype, which is why it continues to have such a powerful and ever-growing resonance: it embodies political repression, metaphysical and artistic insights, gangland warfare and various periods of mystical wilderness. And his audience continues to widen: to westerners Bob's apocalyptic truths prove inspirational and life-changing; in the Third World his impact goes much further. Not just among Jamaicans, but also the Hopi Indians of New Mexico and the Maoris of New Zealand, in Indonesia and India, and especially in those parts of West Africa.

"The Food That Feeds Our Souls!"

Music raises the soul of man even higher than the so-called external form of religion...

There will come a day when music and its philosophy will become the religion of humanity...If there remains any magic it is music.

That music alone can be called real which comes from the harmony of the soul, its true source, and when it comes from there it must appeal to all souls...Music alone can be the means by which the souls of races, nations and families, which are today so apart, may one day be united...The more the musician is conscious of his mission in life, the greater service he can render to humanity.

Music is behind the working of the whole universe. Music is not only life's greatest object, but music is life itself...Music being the most exalted of the arts, the work of the composer is no less than the work of a saint.

The use of music for spiritual attainment and healing of the soul, which was prevelent in ancient times, is not found to the same extent now. Music has been made a pastime, the means of forgetting God instead of realizing God. It is the use one makes of things which constitutes their fault or their virtue.
